The Denton County Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner was truly a night to remember, bringing together an incredible array of Republican leaders and supporters from across the state. Held in a packed venue brimming with energy, it felt like a statewide celebration converging in Denton County. Attendees from Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant Counties mingled with an impressive roster of guests, including Abraham George, Allen West, Ken Paxton, Mitch Little, Andy Hopper, Pat Fallon, and many others.
The highlight of the evening was keynote speaker Steve Bannon, whose raw and unfiltered style electrified the crowd. His ability to captivate the audience and stir excitement was unmatched, making every moment of his speech unforgettable. Bannon’s powerful delivery underscored the importance of unity and determination in advancing conservative values in Texas and beyond.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also made waves during the evening, delivering sharp remarks that resonated with attendees. He humorously ribbed State Representative Jared Patterson for what he characterized as a betrayal of the Republican Party, sparking both laughter and applause from the crowd. Paxton’s speech wasn’t just about humor; it was also a rallying cry for action. He outlined three key steps to ensure Texas remains a stronghold for conservative principles:
Vote in Patriots to Texas Court of Appeals: Paxton emphasized the importance of checking that this has been done and celebrated having three patriots on that court.
Replace John Cornyn: He called for action to remove John Cornyn from his seat and elect a true patriot in his place.
Remove RINOs Like Jared Patterson: Paxton urged attendees to work towards removing Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) to save Texas, stressing that such individuals cannot be allowed to remain in power.
As a member of the media team, my focus was on documenting the event, capturing the speeches, the crowd, and the energy of the night. While I couldn’t give my full attention to every word spoken, the electrifying atmosphere and the key takeaways left an indelible impression. It was a testament to the strength and unity of the Republican Party in Texas and a reminder of the work ahead to keep Texas strong and red.
This dinner was more than just an event; it was a celebration of conservative leadership and a rallying point for the battles ahead. From the stirring speeches to the camaraderie in the room, it was clear that the spirit of Lincoln and Reagan lives on in Denton County.
